Design Story
This carpet was crafted by skillful artisans from Kerman city between 1950 and 1955, with the intention of showcasing the city's traditional weaving style. The combination of muted copper tan and golden tan colors imparts an elevated appearance to the carpet. Its main border is adorned with eye-catching floral motifs, while the central mendelian makes it stand out from others. The finest quality wool was used to make this carpet, ensuring its durability and softness.

City Story
Kerman, located in South Persia's desert, has long been a major commercial and weaving hub. Kerman carpets were among the first Persian rugs to reach Western markets. Soon after their appearance, the rugs were widely circulated and sold throughout Europe. During the Safavid Dynasty, Kerman rugs initially appeared in the 16th century and were received with open arms by Persia's wealthiest residents. They are called "vase carpets" because of the beautiful floral patterns and enormous palmettos that cover the entire body of the carpet. They are typically found in the standard red and blue colors. The dyes in the carpet are utilized to create a delicate and subtle tone of color in the pattern design; also, Kerman carpets are typically softly dyed to bring out their elegance.

• If spills occur, blot immediately. Do not rub the stain.
• Rotate occasionally to equalize wear.
• Use protectors under the legs of heavy furniture to avoid flattening and piling.
• If thread comes out do not pull the yarn, trim with scissor.
