Infused with warm orange mandarin and deep russet tones, this exquisite vintage Persian city carpet, a Tabriz rug from Northwest Iran woven circa 1980. A medallion with pendants, rendered primarily in russet, dominates the field. The entire field flourishes with a classic Herati design, where delicate rosettes and stylized leaves interlock in an all-over pattern. Large spandrels contain additional floral motifs that perfectly complement the centerpiece. The main border featuring continuous flowing vine scrolls interspersed with delicate floral palmettes and inner and outer guard borders displaying subtle geometric patterns with repeating blossoms.
