For Kamala Devi, this rug marked her first journey into the KAVI x Manchaha way of weaving. Having spent years creating rugs with familiar motifs, she instinctively began by placing a diamond at the centre of the composition. It was a form she knew well and a comfortable place to begin. As the rug progressed, she slowly let go of that way of thinking. Instead of filling the surface with more motifs, she started exploring colour, dotted textures, and gentle transitions. The composition became freer with every section she wove. She spread the colours across the rug like winding rivers, allowing them to flow, merge, and change direction naturally. Fine dots and layered textures brought movement to the landscape, while the single diamond remained as a quiet reminder of where her journey began. The finished rug reflects a beautiful shift—from weaving what was familiar to discovering a new way of expressing herself through colour and texture. When she finished weaving this carpet, she named it “Rangeen Leherein” (Colourful Waves).

• Only vacuum clean it periodically. Avoid using vacuum beater brush mode
• If spills occur, blot immediately. Do not rub the stain.
• Rotate occasionally to equalize wear.
• Use protectors under the legs of heavy furniture to avoid flattening and piling.
• If thread comes out do not pull the yarn, trim with scissor.
