Zindagi Ka JashnChange is inevitable in life, yet sometimes there are this small, cherished moments that remain the same forever. For the sisters, Mamta, Roshni, Pooja, Aarti who weaved this Manchaha, it was these little things and memories that inspired their rug, a celebration of life’s festivals, keeping change in hand. The festival of lights, Diwali approached when the group of sisters started this rug. Sparkly lights adorned their home and they brought that light and warmth into the design too. Diyas (oil lamps) and candles, essential to the festival became radiant motifs. Then there are the lovely sugarcane stalks featured in the rug. Sugarcane thrives in the winters around their village, but the design holds a much special meaning. The sisters share how their father picks the juiciest sugarcane from the fields, cutting it just for them to enjoy. This sweet tradition happens every year, and now it's captured in their rug forever. Then comes the rose plants which are the highlight of their home. The sisters adore these flowers so much that the rose plants line the path to their home with them, filling the air with a lovely fragrance that greets every visitor. The way they designed the rug means that over time, as the rug gets rolled up, a fresh pattern will emerge. At the very top of the rug, they have included sweet laddoos (delicious round sweets) that everyone loves. They named their creation “Zindagi Ka Jashn” (Celebration of Life) that captures the small joys, timeless traditions, and the ever-changing yet constant essence of life.
