Banaras ka Ghat
When Akhilesh, Nirmal, and Pradeep began making this Manchaha, they didn't have a design in mind. They started with simple zig-zag patterns with dots and flowers. But as they worked, they talked about places they wanted to visit. Akhilesh mentioned a family trip to Banaras, which inspired them to weave that scene into the rug. They changed their initial design to create a view of Banaras ka Ghat (steps leading down to a riverbank). They included ripples in the water, swimming fish, reflections of light, flowers, and diyas floating in the river as part of a holy ritual. The top of the rug shows the night view with moving water and reflections. The weavers said that as they worked, they only wished to be in Banaras, and they put that wish into every knot of this hand-knotted rug.

• DO NOT brush or scrub the rug.
• Only vacuum clean it periodically. Avoid using vacuum beater brush mode
• If spills occur, blot immediately. Do not rub the stain.
• Rotate occasionally to equalize wear.
• Use protectors under the legs of heavy furniture to avoid flattening and piling.
• If thread comes out do not pull the yarn, trim with scissor.
