Aakar ka Khel
This Manchaha is a story of five weavers, each adding their own voice on one loom. The rug itself reveals their transitions. Pooranmal began with a fine jaal (net) patterns, uniform and strong. Vimal, seeking change, introduced diagonal lines and striking diamond motifs that grew into a medallion form. When Surendra and Mohan took over, they freed the diamonds, scattering them across the rug like shapes floating in air. Finally, Ramkesh joined to help complete the piece. He had been observing the rug’s evolution throughout and, on reflection, he shared how the rug looked like a block game where shapes were falling from above, needing to be arranged thoughtfully at every step. His perspective brought a unifying metaphor to the rug, giving meaning to the transitions. “Aakar ka Khel” (Play of Shapes) tells a story of collaboration where each weaver’s personality shines through, yet together they form a playful, living design.

• DO NOT brush or scrub the rug.
• Only vacuum clean it periodically. Avoid using vacuum beater brush mode
• If spills occur, blot immediately. Do not rub the stain.
• Rotate occasionally to equalize wear.
• Use protectors under the legs of heavy furniture to avoid flattening and piling.
• If thread comes out do not pull the yarn, trim with scissor.
