Art imitates art. Everything has been a muse once. Everything has been created once. But everything can be a muse for creation again. Santosh is a creative genius who weaved taking inspirations from elements around her and then named her Manchaha rug "Milta-Julta". "Milta Julta" literally means "Similar to." The reason behind the name is simple. She weaved things similar to what she witnessed. Santosh began this carpet with "Lehereiya," which she saw on sarees, and then added mountain-shaped structures on the rug that inspired my mountains. She tried weaving a complicated design of sunrays but discarded the idea halfway through. She also weaved designs from a saree. The second half of the carpet is entirely different. Her daughter was shopping online, and Santosh picked her inspiration from there, scrolling her daughter's phone. Her daughter was checking some suits, neck pieces, and plant pots. Santosh explained that the online shopping app inspired her diamond-shaped inter-connected designs from a simple yet intricate design. It enhances this hand-knotted rug and gives it a colorful look. One can say, Santosh saw, Santosh weaved, Santosh conquered.
