Art never expires. There will be an expiry date for everything but art. Even when artists die, a part of them will live on. A woven magic has no end to the show. Weaved by Ansar with the help of Ram Pandey and Shanti Lal, this Manchaha is a treat for the eyes. Ansar says how weaving has brought him joy. Right in the middle of a closed prison, Ansar associates weaving with freedom. He promises to continue weaving even after his release from jail. With enthusiasm like that, whatever Ansar touches becomes an art of magic. The first thing the weaver chose to weave was handcuffs. It is a symbol of his imprisonment. The carpet symbolizes how imprisonment didnt stop him from creating art. He weaved a lot of patches and then filled them up. He liked to play with colors, so he created a unique patch full of all the colors he used on the hand-knotted carpet. This design acts like a catalog for the colors of yarns that went into the work. He has also weaved three cups and two glasses used for hotel service. What gives the carpet its name is two white flowers that gain anybodys attention at first sight. These two flowers are called "Sadabahar" (Evergreen). Now the carpet is called so, too, as it will. Sadabahar Manchaha will always be a charm wherever it finds a home.

• If thread comes out do not pull the yarn, trim with scissor.
