Sahyog
Seema Devi and her daughter Priyanka have spent years weaving rugs filled with familiar motifs and storytelling elements. KAVI x Manchaha introduced them to a different way of thinking, where the focus shifted from depicting forms to expressing them through texture, colour, and composition. They began nervously by weaving a mountain using layered lines, adding subtle textures along its sides. As they worked further, they found themselves unsure of how to build the composition. It was then that their neighbour, Bugali—an award-winning artisan with years of experience—joined them at the loom. Bugali began demonstrating textured patterns, showing them how simple dots, layered surfaces, and abstract forms could create depth without relying on familiar motifs. As the rug progressed, its visual language gradually transformed. The composition became richer with intricate textures and scattered details, while the abstract forms near the top of the rug were inspired by a bird's nest. This idea came from Bugali's own observations of nature. The finished rug became more than an exploration of a new design language. It became a reflection of shared knowledge, where one artisan's experience encouraged another to discover new possibilities at the loom. With this, they named the Manchaha “Sahyog” (Collaboration).

• Only vacuum clean it periodically. Avoid using vacuum beater brush mode
• If spills occur, blot immediately. Do not rub the stain.
• Rotate occasionally to equalize wear.
• Use protectors under the legs of heavy furniture to avoid flattening and piling.
• If thread comes out do not pull the yarn, trim with scissor.
