Maya Devi and Roshani Devi are relatives who have spent years weaving side by side. Their conversations flow as naturally as their hands on the loom, and every rug becomes a shared journey. They began by weaving a Trishul (Trident), a form they knew well. But as they explored the philosophy of KAVI x Manchaha, they learned to focus more on dots, textures, and the feeling of the composition. As the rug grew, the trident gradually transformed. Surrounded by flowing textures and scattered dots, it no longer looked like the familiar symbol they had started with. Instead, it reminded them of a magical wand, as if the textures and dots around it were creating an illusion. The rug became a reminder that even the most familiar forms can take on new meaning through imagination and experimentation. At the end, they named the rug “Maya.” The name honours Maya Devi while also referring to the Hindi word for “illusion.”

• DO NOT brush or scrub the rug.
• Only vacuum clean it periodically. Avoid using vacuum beater brush mode
• If spills occur, blot immediately. Do not rub the stain.
• Rotate occasionally to equalize wear.
• Use protectors under the legs of heavy furniture to avoid flattening and piling.
• If thread comes out do not pull the yarn, trim with scissor.
