Archana and Babli have woven this carpet slowly, layer by layer, letting the design grow as their thoughts moved. The rug feels calm and steady, made of many small sections that sit next to each other, like moments in a day. With the earthy colours, the weavers have woven sand, dry grass, stone, and soft shadows and shades they see around them every day. As you look closely, you notice different patterns appearing and disappearing. Zig-zags, dots, and lines come together gently, without forcing attention. It feels like a conversation between two people who understand each other well, where both add their own part but keep the balance. This carpet carries patience. It does not rush the eye. Instead, it asks you to pause, to notice the small changes, the slight shifts in pattern and colour. They named this Manchaha “Shaant,” meaning “Peace.”
