In life, all we truly need is a companion—someone to share our joys and sorrows, who stands by us through thick and thin. For Gajanand, his companion is also his weaving partner. Together, Gajanand and his wife Lakshmi craft the art of love, one knot at a time. Their creation named “Humsafar” meaning "Companion," beautifully encapsulates the love they share. This carpet marks their first collaborative Manchaha, a testament to their harmonious work despite occasional disagreements. They began with delicate patterns of tiny flowers arranged in lines, followed by "Lehereiya" waves inspired by the monsoon season. Traditional designs resembling "Shakkarpara" sweets were also woven into the fabric. The central portion of the carpet was left simple and unadorned, featuring a road symbolizing their journey to Jaipur, with Lakshmi's name elegantly woven in English at the top. With dedication and deep affection, Gajanand and Lakshmi have woven a masterpiece that reflects their bond and shared journey of love.
