Sumitra and Suggaram, a devoted couple who always weave together, created this Manchaha during the monsoon season. They mentioned that they never plan their designs in advance; instead, they let their creativity guide them as they weave whatever their hearts desire at the moment. This Manchaha features a vibrant array of diamond motifs, bindi (dots), flowers, and creeper patterns, giving it a lively and prosperous feel. When asked about the inspiration behind these motifs, the weavers shared that while they worked, they discussed their household and the future of their four children. Having experienced a challenging childhood themselves, they hoped to provide a better life and future for their kids. As they wove, they envisioned the rewards of their hard work and the prosperity it could bring. This vision translated into this rug and led them to name the Manchaha “Ghar Grihasti,” which means “Home and Family.”

• DO NOT brush or scrub the rug.
• Only vacuum clean it periodically. Avoid using vacuum beater brush mode
• If spills occur, blot immediately. Do not rub the stain.
• Rotate occasionally to equalize wear.
• Use protectors under the legs of heavy furniture to avoid flattening and piling.
• If thread comes out do not pull the yarn, trim with scissor.
