Parivartan
For this rug, Dhafali Devi drew inspiration from one of the transformations she has witnessed throughout her life—the arrival of rain. Instead of depicting nature through familiar motifs, she expressed its changing moods through texture, colour, and abstract patterns. The lower half of the rug reflects the land after rainfall. Gentle shades of green and blue, layered textures, and fine slanting lines evoke rain-soaked fields, flowing water, and the freshness that follows. It is a landscape full of life and renewal. In contrast, the upper half captures the same land before the rains arrive. Intricate crack-like patterns spread across the surface, while earthy tones convey the dryness of parched soil waiting for the first shower. By placing these two moments within a single composition, Dhafali Devi celebrates the cycle of nature, where every dry season carries the promise of new life. Describing this beautiful change, she named this Manchaha “Pativartan” (Transformation).

• Only vacuum clean it periodically. Avoid using vacuum beater brush mode
• If spills occur, blot immediately. Do not rub the stain.
• Rotate occasionally to equalize wear.
• Use protectors under the legs of heavy furniture to avoid flattening and piling.
• If thread comes out do not pull the yarn, trim with scissor.
