Saath Saath
This Manchaha was woven by Seema Devi and her daughter, Priyanka. While they worked on the same rug, each brought her own style to the loom. The first half was woven by Priyanka. She experimented with freer forms, letting colours and textures flow naturally across the rug. Instead of following fixed patterns, she explored movement, creating a composition that feels open and contemporary. As the rug progressed, there is a halt; that is where her mother, Seema Devi, took over. Her years of experience are reflected in the neat linear bands and traditional patterns that bring rhythm and structure to the design. The repeating patterns create a sense of familiarity and balance. Even with linear patterns, she experimented with blended yarns to create an intricate look. Together, the rug becomes a beautiful meeting of two generations. One half embraces experimentation, while the other celebrates tradition. Rather than contrasting, the two styles complement each other, showing how traditional and contemporary can exist side by side. When they finished weaving this rug, they named it “Saath Saath,” which means “Together.”

• DO NOT brush or scrub the rug.
• Only vacuum clean it periodically. Avoid using vacuum beater brush mode
• If spills occur, blot immediately. Do not rub the stain.
• Rotate occasionally to equalize wear.
• Use protectors under the legs of heavy furniture to avoid flattening and piling.
• If thread comes out do not pull the yarn, trim with scissor.
