Pravah
Water holds a deep meaning in a desert state like Rajasthan. Sundari ji, the artist of this rug, has also spent years farming, and she often says that an entire ecosystem begins and ends with water. In this rug, she tried to show the full cycle of water. At the top, she wove mountains—the natural source. At the centre, she created a large well, the human-made source that sustains everyday life. On the left, she added plants and flowers to represent the farms that depend on water. On the right, she wove a network of pipes, imagining water being carried wherever people need it. She says, “Jeevan paani se hi milta hai, paani hi jeevan hai”—we receive life from water; water is life itself. After finishing the rug, she named it “Pravah,” meaning “flow.”

• DO NOT brush or scrub the rug.
• Only vacuum clean it periodically. Avoid using vacuum beater brush mode
• If spills occur, blot immediately. Do not rub the stain.
• Rotate occasionally to equalize wear.
• Use protectors under the legs of heavy furniture to avoid flattening and piling.
• If thread comes out do not pull the yarn, trim with scissor.
