Shayari Devi created this Manchaha while preparing for her son's wedding. Naturally, the rug is a heartfelt reflection of this joyous occasion and features elements that symbolize celebration and affection. Central to the design is the Shakkarpara sweet, a traditional sweet treat that holds special significance in the villages of Rajasthan. Even though sweet makers were present, Shayari Devi shared that she personally prepared the first batch of Shakkarpara sweets, offering them to the Gods as a prayer for blessings and good fortune for the couple. Alongside the Shakkarpara, the rug also includes motifs of wedding decorations and flowers, capturing the essence of festive joy and love that is blooming. Through her hand-knotted rug, Shayari Devi intertwines her personal touch with the vibrant celebration of her son's wedding, naming her Manchaha “Prem ki Mithas,” meaning “Sweetness of Love.”
