Grah PraveshNathi, the artist behind the "Manchaha," is no ordinary weaver. Weaving has been in her blood for generations. Growing up with a brother who was a carpet weaving contractor, Nathi became a top-notch skilled artisan from a young age. She not only mastered weaving but also learned to set up a whole loom, from wrapping the warp to weaving a production carpet after just a single glance at the weaving map instructions. Despite her skill, Nathi didn't continue weaving after getting married. After a long break of 15 years, she restarted her weaving journey. Nathi shared that she tried various jobs, including working in the leather industry and other local crafts, but weaving was her true calling. When creating this Manchaha, Nathi set her loom beside her little general store, which her husband managed. He also joined her on the loom during his leisure time. With immense hard work, Nathi is now renovating her home. At the very top, she wove diagonal color-shifting grids, inspired by the main entrance door of her old home. She mentioned that she had woven the main entrance door, inviting the viewers to the housewarming function of her new home. She believes that this Manchaha will add beauty and warmth to any home, blessing the rug with her love, and she named her creation "Grah Pravesh", hindi for housewarming.
