Sheela pours her heart and soul into every Manchaha she weaves. Her surroundings deeply influence her designs, making each rug a reflection of her emotions and experiences during its creation. Sheela’s designs have a unique charm. She often divides her rug into two halves—one capturing elements from her surroundings and the other featuring intricate, decorative patterns to make it feel special. In this particular rug, titled "Mann Ki Tasveer"—“Picture of the Heart”—the right side captures moments and inspirations from Sheela’s life. It begins with a charming cauliflower motif, inspired by her vegetable-shopping strolls. Nearby, a colony of fish swims into view, with one special whale fish woven in blue— showcasing love for watching ocean documentaries on the Discovery channel. Decorative patterns inspired by her neighbor’s main gate add an elegant touch. The most special detail lies at the top of the rug: a series of dolls. These were inspired by the birthday celebration of her nephew, to whom she gifted dolls and other presents. These joyful moments are now immortalized in her Manchaha.
